Legal Boundary Notice

Legal Disclaimer

Please read this legal disclosure regarding the scope of FairSplit software tools and services.

FairSplit is a record-keeping and reimbursement coordination tool. It does not provide legal advice, determine whether an expense is legally owed, guarantee payment, or guarantee that a report will be accepted as evidence.

1. Not a Law Firm & No Legal Advice

FairSplit is a software application designed for tracking shared child expenses and facilitating reimbursement communications between co-parents. FairSplit is not a law firm, mediator, or legal services organization, and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or court representation.

No content on this website, within the FairSplit application, or in exported reports constitutes legal advice. Users should consult a qualified family law attorney licensed in their jurisdiction for legal guidance regarding custody agreements, court orders, or child support obligations.

2. Court Admissibility Notice

While FairSplit records are designed with server-side timestamps and itemized receipt logging formatted for attorney review, FairSplit makes no guarantee of court admissibility. Rules of evidence, record certification, and evidentiary admissibility vary by state, local court jurisdiction, and judicial discretion.

3. Reimbursement Eligibility & Fund Control

FairSplit does not determine whether a specific expense is legally required to be reimbursed under your parenting agreement, court order, or local family law statutes. FairSplit uses direct Stripe Connect integrations and never holds, escrows, or possesses user funds.

4. Software Provided As-Is

FairSplit software and documentation tools are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Users maintain full responsibility for verifying the accuracy of logged numbers, split ratios, and receipt uploads before submitting financial requests.
